Help and common questions

The things people ask us most about CIPC and SARS, and how to get hold of us when the answer is not here.

Where to start

Pick whichever is closest to your situation.

Company registration

Registering a new Pty Ltd with CIPC.

Annual returns

Filing, beneficial ownership and deregistration.

SARS returns

ITR12, ITR14, provisional tax and clearance.

Tenders and CSD

B-BBEE affidavits and supplier registration.

Two ways we work

Once-off

For one specific filing

You have one thing outstanding and you want it dealt with. We check the position, quote a fixed fee, file it, and send you the proof.

Ongoing

For companies that keep falling behind

We carry your deadlines for you. Annual returns, beneficial ownership and tax returns filed as they fall due, with a reminder before each one.

Common questions

How do I find out if my company is compliant?

Send us the company registration number. We check your status at CIPC, see how many annual returns are outstanding and whether the beneficial ownership register is current, then tell you what it will cost to put right. Checking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Do I have to come to Port Shepstone?

No. CIPC and SARS filings are done online, so we work with clients anywhere in South Africa by email and WhatsApp. If you are on the South Coast and would rather come in person, that is fine too.

What documents do I need to send?

It depends on the job, but usually a certified copy of your ID, your company registration number, and whatever paperwork you already hold. A photo on WhatsApp is enough to start with. Nothing needs printing before we look at it.

Are you attorneys or auditors?

Neither. We are a compliance and filing practice. We prepare and lodge statutory returns and registrations with CIPC and SARS and act as your representative with them. Where something needs a legal opinion or an audit, we say so and point you to someone who can do it.

Still stuck? Send us your registration number and we will look.
